In order to become a successful coach it is important to develop a range of observation skills that will identify areas that can be coached in order to improve performance. Successful coaches will have a clear insight into the areas that are affecting team or individual cohesion and can quickly implement a range of strategies.
Students are required to deliver a presentation (15-20 minutes) on a type of analysis that can be used to gauge or monitor performance. This can include:

Once you have identified your preferred analysis tool, you are required to demonstrate it to the audience (using forms of ICT) highlighting it’s strengths, weaknesses and limitations and in particular its usefulness to the sports coach
