Read the article The Linguistic Development of Genie (Curtiss et al., 1975) that I uploaded. After reading the article, write a paper comparing Genie’s linguistic development with that of a normal child. Use the lecture or books of you can find to discuss the hallmarks of acquisition, including phonology, morphology, vocabulary, and syntax. Discuss at what age Genie acquired various hallmarks, how this differs from normal acquisition, and what Genie’s case can tell us about language acquisition. Your paper should be between three to 4 FULL pages, double spaced, 12 point font (Times New Roman or Arial), with 1” margins.
