Writer, please answer the following questions. As a forecaster, it’s your responsibility to monitor the weather and the short term forecast. Your local radar has just gone down with mechanical problems and your office doesn’t have a window. What other tools besides radar could you use to know the current weather as well as the short term forecast? If severe weather is a potential, what tools would you utilize to know if a storm will become a supercell?
