Crisis Intervention & Suicide Prevention in Schools
In terms of crisis intervention in the school setting, what are your thoughts about Roberts 7 tier model? How does it fit with the theoretical frameworks in social work practice? Given the state of our society today and all of the violence that has increased on school campuses (both public schools and higher education), how do you feel that the crisis intervention models discussed in this week’s lecture pages can be effective? What do you see as critical or essential pieces of crisis intervention in school settings? Why?
